Colorado's only Wild & Scenic river. The canyon section above Fort Collins fishes well from runoff's tail in mid-June through October, with reliable BWO and caddis hatches and willing brown trout in pocket water.

Cold, clear, and technical below Olympus Dam. Sight-fishing to rising trout in the narrows above the canyon is some of the most rewarding small-water dry-fly fishing in the state.

The last major free-flowing river in the West. Float the Stagecoach tailwater or wade the meadow stretches above Steamboat — big browns, hopper season, and stretches you can have to yourself if you walk a half mile.
